10 years of Continual Progression

AVEVA KK, the Japanese subsidiary of AVEVA Group plc, celebrates its 10th anniversary in February 2009.

The Japanese office was the second AVEVA office to be set up in Asia.

Pre-1998
  • Peter Finch (now President of AVEVA Asia Pacific) was appointed CADCentre Country Manager for Japan.
  • First CADCentre customers in Japan include Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., IHI Corporation, Kawasaki Plant Systems, Ltd., Toshiba Corporation, Chiyoda Corporation, JGC Corporation.

1998
  • CADCentre KK registered in Japan and moves into the British Industry Centre in Yokohama Business Park.

1999
  • CADCentre KK officially opened.

2000
  • Kimio Imamura joined as Representative Director of Cadcentre KK.

2001
  • CADCentre KK Kansai Office (Branch) opened in Kobe.

2002
  • Company name changed to AVEVA KK, in line with global rebranding to reflect company's broader range of technologies.

2004
  • AVEVA KK Kansai Office moved from Kobe to Osaka.

2005
  • July: AVEVA KK merged with Nippon Tribon KK.
  • October: EunJoo Park assigned as Executive Vice President, Korea-Japan Division.
  • December: A total of 30 new Japanese customers subscribe to AVEVA solutions in 2005 – the highest ever number of new AVEVA KK customers in a single year.

2006
  • AVEVA KK Kansai Office merged with AVEVA KK Head Office in Yokohama.

2007
  • Biggest Marine contract inked.

2008
  • June: AVEVA Marine Users’ Meeting held in Kobe.
  • July: Motoo Iso appointed as Vice President, Sales & Business Development, AVEVA KK.
  • October: 101 active Plant & Marine customers to date.

2009
  • February: AVEVA KK marks 10 years in Japan.
