Global Licensing Compliance Administrator - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Global Licensing Compliance Investigator

Job Purpose:

The primary role of the Global Licensing Compliance Administrator is to assist the Head of Global Licensing Compliance in the administration and management of AVEVA’s global licensing compliance and anti-piracy programme.

Dimensions:

In particular, the Global Licensing Compliance Administrator will be accountable for maintaining detailed records of the Company’s licensing compliance and anti-piracy activities, and for preparing associated progress / status reports as requested by the Head of Global Licensing Compliance and/or the Regional Licensing Compliance Managers.     

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To maintain accurate records in relation to (a) compliance revenue and costs; (b) leads breakdown and (c) compliance enforcement progress
  • To manage and maintain the case management system, inputting relevant data as and when required
  • To scrutinise licensing databases for purchases by identified non-compliant organisations
  • To undertake licence checks on suspected non-compliant organisations
  • To interrogate AVEVA’s CRM system in order to establish / confirm historical and current relationships (if any) with suspected non-compliant organisations
  • To provide a quarterly performance updates on the licensing compliance programme
  • To liaise with AVEVA global sales teams and appointed partners in licensing compliance activities
  • To provide single point of contact for all compliance programme communications  

Important Working Relationships:

  • Close liaison with AVEVA’s Group Sales team
  • Close liaison with AVEVA’s Legal team
  • Close liaison with appointed 3rd party licensing compliance partners

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • High level of numeracy plus good MS Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, and logical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable skills in multi-party, multi-cultural co-ordination
  • High standards of honesty and integrity
  • Proactive approach and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Willingness to travel with reasonable notice & prepared to work unusual hours
  • An awareness of internet piracy & file sharing would be advantageous
  • Previous experience of working for a global software company would be advantageous
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent would be advantageous
