Hilary has almost always been in the Human Resources arena, with additional operational management responsibilities. A large part of her career has been in the retail sector in both multi-site and Head Office positions. It was during this time that she qualified as a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Hilary spent five years working with a Cambridge-based software electronics company – quite a different environment from retail – which provided interest and challenge in a dynamic, growing business. Hilary joined AVEVA in 2006, where her role is to ensure that the Human Resources function can effectively support business goals and acquisitions worldwide. She is also responsible for Business Services, including IT and Facilities.
