Chief Executive Officer
James Kidd is a Chartered Accountant and joined AVEVA in 2004. Prior to his current appointment as Chief Executive on 1 January 2017, James held several senior finance roles within the Group, being Head of Finance from 2006, and joined the Board as Chief Financial Officer in January 2011. He joined the Group at the time of the Tribon acquisition and played a significant part in the completion of this transaction and the subsequent integration of the acquired business. His responsibilities have included investor relations, the development of the Group’s overseas subsidiaries, standardisation of financial processes and procedures as well as being heavily involved in the Group’s recent acquisitions. Prior to joining AVEVA James spend a number of years serving clients in the technology sector.
Chief Financial Officer
David joined AVEVA in 2011 as the Head of Finance before being appointed to the Board as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in July 2016.
In his five years with AVEVA, David has led the development of the Group's Finance function and AVEVA's risk and internal controls agenda. He has also been heavily involved in all acquisitions completed since 2011, as well as a number of other strategic initiatives for the company.
Prior to joining AVEVA, David worked for Ernst & Young for 14 years in various roles within the Assurance practice and completed a secondment to easyJet plc as Group Treasurer.
Group CTO and Deputy CEO
Dave has responsibility for technology strategy and product development spanning the AVEVA portfolio of solutions. In this role, Dave leads the teams responsible for the continual progression of AVEVA’s information modelling systems to enable Digital transformation, innovation and evolution of products to exploit new technologies and the open data integration with enterprise systems and 3rd-party applications.
Dave leads an organisation comprising software and engineering specialists operating across AVEVA’s locations worldwide. Technology choice and technical direction together with consistent software engineering processes underpin the continuous development of AVEVA’s integrated solutions.
As a member of AVEVA’s executive management team, Dave has been involved in every one of the acquisitions the Group has undertaken and personally led the highly successful merger with Tribon Systems in 2004 leading to the development of AVEVA Marine combining the best of Tribon and AVEVA technologies.
Dave joined AVEVA (then known as CADcentre) in 1981 initially developing process simulation and fluid network modelling applications. He managed the PDMS development team during the transition of PDMS from mini computers to networked workstations and led the developments of automated drawing production and 3D visualisation. He has also held positions in Marketing, Corporate IT and headed up the Engineering & Design Systems line of business, introducing our ground-breaking AVEVA Everything 3D solution.
Dave is a member of the Board of AVEVA Solutions to which he was appointed in 2003, and boards of other Group subsidiaries.
Dave has a degree (Honours 1st Class) in Chemical Engineering with Environmental specialisation from University of Exeter in 1977
Executive Vice-President, HR
Clare has over 25 years generalist HR experience gained across a variety of sectors working both nationally and globally. Prior to joining AVEVA in 2015, Clare ran her own HR consultancy for 5 years. Clare has held senior HR leadership roles with Marks and Spencer, RAC and Munters AB. She is member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management.
Executive Vice-President, Global Services
Grimur Lund graduated from Aalborg University in 1985 in System Engineering. After working 2 years at Aalborg Shipyard he was one of the founders of Logimatic 1987 – an IT & Engineering company. Initially he build up the IT division until he in 2002 became the CEO. In his years with Logimatic he took active role in building up a global market position for the company and in particular the MARS product.
In 2010 AVEVA acquired the entire MARS business and in the same transaction Grimur joined AVEVA. He was from the start responsible for restructuring the Service Delivery organisation and took part in building up the Enterprise Solution line of business. In 2015 became the leader of Global Technical Support. In April 2016 Grimur joined the Executive team with the remit of Global Services, which encompasses Technical Sales, Professional Services, Customer Support, Product Support and Quality.
Executive Vice-President, Business Strategy
Bruce joined AVEVA following the acquisition of Tribon in 2004, initially as VP Industry Solutions. Since this time, Bruce has held a number of roles in AVEVA within both Product Strategy and Marketing. In 2014, Bruce took on the role of SVP Sales Excellence where he was responsible for developing the capability of our worldwide direct sales team through an evolving programme of skills and methods improvements.
In April 2017, Bruce was invited to join the Executive team as EVP Business Strategy, bringing the various strands of business and product strategy together to create a unified strategy team. Within this role, Bruce has responsibility for providing the necessary analysis and data to enable AVEVA to plan and make strategic decisions, ultimately achieving our goals and objectives.
Executive Vice-President, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
Claire joined AVEVA in June 2015 as Group General Counsel & Company Secretary, becoming a member of the Executive team in December 2016. She is responsible for the areas of Legal, Company Secretarial, Anti-Piracy Compliance and Commercial Management across the global organisation.
Claire has over 19 years of experience within the fields of corporate and commercial law. She qualified as a solicitor within City law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner in 2000. She is additionally qualified as a chartered company secretary and a member of ICSA.
Prior to joining AVEVA, Claire has held a number of other senior in-house legal roles, including Senior European Counsel for Hughes Network Systems, Europe (a division of EchoStar Corporation, (NASDAQ: SATS)) and Associate General Counsel of FTSE listed Interserve Plc.
Chief Revenue Officer
Steen joined AVEVA on 1 June 2017 as Chief Revenue Officer. Steen is a highly regarded Sales professional with 25 years’ experience in the IT and Software industries. Before joining AVEVA Steen held previous roles in HP, IBM and IHS Markit, where he had overall responsibility for sales operations in both the EMEA region and the Global Energy sector.
Steen is responsible for the Sales and Marketing functions, leading on initiatives to drive further growth for AVEVA.
He holds a Master in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School is a member of the leading Danish Executive Business Group.
Trond joined AVEVA as part of the acquisition of ADB in 2010. Following this acquisition, he led the AVEVA Centre of Excellence for Operations Integrity Management (OIM). He’s also held various leadership roles within Product Development, before heading up AVEVA’s Platform team in 2015. Trond was instrumental in the launch of AVEVA’s programme to expand to a Digital Asset Software as a Service (SaaS) footprint and its cloud platform, AVEVA Connect™.
In July 2017, Trond became CTO Designate. In this role, Trond is responsible for all aspects of R&D, technology strategy and innovation.
Trond spent the first eight years of his career in the telecom sector, delivering high availability subscription services both to B2B and B2C markets. He then moved on to Ernst & Young, before joining ADB in 2008 as R&D Director.
EVP, Products and Platform Development, Solutions and Technology
Michael joined AVEVA in 2006 and has held positions in Product Development leadership across AVEVA’s Design Products for Plant, Marine and Schematics markets. In July 2017 Michael became EVP, Products and Platform Development, Solutions and Technology responsible for roadmap and maintenance delivery for AVEVA’s Product portfolio and Platform technologies.
Prior to joining AVEVA, Michael was an R&D Development Director for Aspen Technology Inc, responsible for development teams working on Engineering Simulation and Optimisation applications. Michael has over 28 years’ experience in the development and management of software applications for the engineering domain. Michael has a Masters Degree in Knowledge-Based Systems.
Executive Vice-President, Global Accounts
Martin Yeomans started his career as an industrial apprentice in the process and power industries, having studied Mechanical Engineering at Derby University. During his early career he gained varied experience in pipework design using PDMS and other applications before joining AVEVA in 1997.
During his time at AVEVA, Martin has used his industry knowledge in a variety of customer-facing roles, both technically and commercially, from Helpdesk Support and Presales through to Sales and Regional Sales Management. Martin currently heads up the Global Accounts programme within AVEVA and was appointed to the AVEVA Executive in December 2016, taking on the role officially from 1 April 2017.
Executive Vice-President – Asia Pacific, Middle-East and Africa
Prior to joining AVEVA, Evgeny gained a joint degree in Economics and Engineering, as well as an MBA in Consumers and Modern Markets. He began his career in the Automation and Digital Control systems industries, working mainly with large utility and energy companies, before joining AVEVA in 2005. Before long, he took on responsibility for the AVEVA offices in Russia, and in 2012, Evgeny extended his leadership to India and the Middle East within the role of Senior Vice-President, Head of Russia, India and the Middle East. He then took responsibility for EPC and marine customers globally, the largest commercial function within AVEVA.
In December 2016, Evgeny was invited to join the Executive team as a Regional Executive, and from 1 April 2017 he took on responsibility for the AVEVA Sales business across Asia Pacific and the Middle East regions.
Executive Vice-President – Americas
Amish is a professional engineer who holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary. He was appointed to the Executive team with responsibility for the Americas in December 2016, taking on his official post on 1 April 2017. Amish has been with the company for the past seven years, with a primary responsibility of growing our Owner Operator Business in North America.
He has over 23 years of North American and International Processing Industry experience within the fields of Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals.
Over the past 16 years, Amish has become a trusted advisor and business strategist to the complex processing industry in North America from an Owner, EPC and Supplier perspective. Prior to AVEVA, Amish was the Director of Sales for Honeywell Automation in Canada, Canadian Sales Manager for Aspen Technologies, and an Operations Engineer with Japan Energy Corporation in Tokyo.
Executive Vice-President – Head of India
Navtej’s responsibilities cover the management of AVEVA’s Indian operations with a specific focus on the Hyderabad Technology Centre. The Hyderabad Technology Centre is the largest office within AVEVA and a major hub for product development, global services and business support. Navtej joined AVEVA in July 2000 and has held roles in product development and operations. In 2012, Navtej was deployed in India to build a sales and technical support organisation in Mumbai to support our product growth in this key market and to build and operate a large in-house technology and services centre in Hyderabad.
Prior to joining AVEVA worked in the chemical manufacturing industry. Navtej holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and a MSc in Instrumentation and Analytical Science.
