AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator is an application that integrates schematic diagrams, (typically P&IDs) and 3D design, allowing 3D designers on-line access to the schematic information as they work.

It can be used to create the initial 3D model from the schematic data, or to check an existing 3D model against the schematic design, so that inconsistencies can be rapidly identified and corrected.

AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator adds additional capabilities to the PDMS and Outfitting 3D design products. It allows the 3D designers to see and work with the schematic data. They can build the 3D model from the schematic data, carry out P&ID/3D comparisons and use the data in reports and on drawings.

If no 3D model exists, an initial model can be created from the P&ID data.

A powerful Compare function checks consistency between the schematic data and the 3D model.

Comparison results are shown in text-style reports and via colour coding in both the schematic and 3D views. Incorrect 3D model values may be changed.

Any P&ID system that can load (or create) data in the schematic model database can be used with AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator. This includes AVEVA Diagrams, AVEVA P&ID, and some third-party P&ID systems.

1 - Create P&IDs

P&IDs are either created in the schematic model database using AVEVA Diagrams – or loaded into the database from other P&ID systems (eg AVEVA P&ID).

3 - Build & Adjust

If no 3D model exists, AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator can automatically apply user-configurable rules to create an initial 3D model. Normal 3D model editing tools are used to adjust the routing and add additional details design information

4 - Compare

Once a 3D design and an equivalent schematic model is available, 3D designers can carry out comparisons between the P&ID and the 3D model and identify any inconsistencies. The checks can be carried out at any time, and can be introduced at any stage of a project. Inconsistencies are visualised via colour coding of the P&ID and the 3D model – and are also available as Excel reports.

P&ID information is released for 3D design.

5 - Correct

Any changes required in the 3D model can be made in the same design session using the usual 3D design tools.
