AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator 12.0
Managed development and consistency between schematic and 3D data
Keeping track of the evolving design status of an engineering project is a complex task. Reconciling schematic diagrams with 3D models consumes considerable time. Unresolved inconsistencies can cause incorrect decisions, design rework or even worse problems.
AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator provides unrivalled synchronisation between schematic and 3D model data. Users can build their 3D model directly from the information in a schematic, in a controlled manner, and check data consistency at any time.
Business Benefits
- Reduced design man-hours and time
Using schematic data to build the 3D model saves work.
Efficient parallel development saves time.
- Reduced fabrication costs
Assured consistency between the schematics and the 3D model minimises rework.
- Efficient handover
Improved quality of project handover data reduces commissioning time.
Key Features
- Full integration
AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator has access to all the database and functional capabilities of the AVEVA PDMS modelling applications.
- A complete solution
The database can store schematic data for an entire project, allowing a complete schematic model to be developed from a number of schematics.
- Compare and verify
A powerful Compare function checks consistency between the schematic data and the 3D model. An option is provided to change any incorrect 3D model values.
Comparison results are shown in text-style reports and via colour coded screen displays of the schematic and 3D views.

How it works
- Release
First, the schematic designer must release parts for 3D modelling.
- Build
AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator will build the 3D models for all pipes, branches, in-line fittings and instruments, using rules provided by the user to set locations in 3D space and other attributes.
- Adjust
Normal model editing tools may be used to fine-tune the locations of the parts.
- Associate
The Build function creates an association between the schematic element and its corresponding 3D model. Schematic 3D Integrator can identify any parts released but not yet associated with 3D. Where the 3D model already exists, or the schematic and the 3D model are developed in parallel, association may be made manually.
