W012 Purple Icons

Purple icons are used across the AVEVA websites.

A core set of purple icons has been synced from MediaValet to AEM Assets so they they can be reused across the web pages.

Prior to 2026, there were several duplicate versions of the purple icons because they were being uploaded to AEM Assets for use on different web pages. There is no reason for duplicate icons to exist.

In response, to streamline the purple icons and to remove the duplicates from AEM Assets, a core set of unique purple icons has been synced from MediaValet to AEM Assets with the goal of them being reused where needed:

Having a core set of unique purple icons will provide the following benefits:

  • Prevent duplicate icons from being hosted in AEM Assets
  • Reduce the number of design requests for icons, as well as the time spent managing and executing those duplicate icons

Purple icons hosted in AEM Assets should not be edited to change the alt text, metadata, tags, or filenames. All this information had been finalized within MediaValet prior to syncing to AEM Assets, and that information should remain the same in AEM. If edits are required for any reason, then the edits must be made to the icon image in MediaValet first and then resynced to AEM Assets.

If there are any purple icons missing in AEM Assets, then request for them to be synced from MediaValet to AEM Assets. Do not manually download them and then manually upload them to AEM Assets.

The entire inventory of purple icons can be found here:
