Business ecosystems are networks of interdependent stakeholders—suppliers, distributors, partners, customers and regulators—who collaborate to create new, mutual value through shared infrastructure, information and insights.
These teams commit to mobilizing and enabling resources dynamically across their organizations. Together, they tackle complex, higher-order business problems and develop opportunities that could not be effectively achieved by any one participant alone.
Digital Ecosystems and the Future of Connected Enterprises
The Industrial Intelligence Report is based on a survey of 275 senior leaders across 12 industries and 19 expert interviews to uncover how organizations create, deliver and capture value through Industrial Intelligence.
Conducted by IMD in collaboration with AVEVA, the findings reveal a persistent gap between digital ecosystem ambition and execution. While most organizations are investing heavily in digital ecosystem strategy, the operational foundations to make these ecosystems work remain underdeveloped.
