Digital journey to operational excellence continues for leading container terminal operator – TraPac

At the busiest container port in the U.S. innovation and hard work are pushing towards industry recognized operational excellence. After a successful rollout of the PI System in 2017, TraPac has continued to innovate and invest in new uses for their digital infrastructure by expanding its use to new equipment at the Port of LA, and Port of Oakland. The presentation will build on the 2018 PI World talk sharing ongoing benefits and expansions in the system since it’s initial deployment.

Mark Jensen

Mark Jensen is the Vice President of Asset Management at TraPac. He is responsible for installing and operating automated container handling equipment as well as the safe, effective and efficient operation of assets utilized by TraPac at the Los Angeles Terminal. Mark is an Australian Chartered Professional Engineer and received his Bachelor of Engineering (Materials/ Mechanical) from the University of Queensland.

Jack Lei is the Operational Excellence Analyst and PI Administrator at TraPac LLC, a leading edge automated container terminal in the Port of Los Angeles. He utilizes the PI System to track metrics and generate reports from the abundance automation telemetry to promote data driven decisions in operations and in maintenance.
