Spotlight: Acelen boosts energy efficiency and safety with AI-powered thermal leak detection
Steam leaks in critical units at the Mataripe Refinery caused energy waste, higher OPEX, and environmental risks. To address this, Acelen deployed an AI-based thermal monitoring system using computer vision and industrial cameras. Integrated with the PI System and Harpia, the solution detects leaks in real time, automates alerts and work orders, and continuously improves through operator feedback. PI Vision dashboards provide visibility, enabling fast, auditable decisions with minimal investment.
