Unlocking ROI: How B&W Achieved Efficiency with AVEVA Unified Engineering
B&W, a 150-year-old enterprise shaped by multiple mergers, consolidated multiple siloed engineering applications by choosing AVEVA as its integrated engineering solution. Brightloop, a low-carbon hydrogen technology process from B&W, served as the pilot for the Unified Engineering implementation and for establishing engineering standards, templates, and a Master Project. With this single source of truth, B&W can now introduce future AVEVA technologies such as AIM, PI, and predictive analytics for Brightloop. In addition, we built on proven ROI calculations for key EPC factors like the number of P&IDs, tags, and project scope, confirming the cost-effectiveness of our approach. Today, the organization relies exclusively on AVEVA for all engineering initiatives, resulting in efficient collaboration, high-quality deliverables, and optimized maintenance.
