Plains Midstream’s Journey from Siloed Operational Data to Self-Serve Operational Intelligence at our NGL facilities
This presentation tells the journey at Plains Midstream Canada's NGL facilities starting with several individual PI servers with no standardization to an standardized, enterprise PI System with a hub and poke design. The focus will be how the vision and business case was developed and how the OpEx dimensions of people, process, and technologies including the PI Server, were addressed. The result has been the enablement of self serve, enterprise access to operational intelligence using PI AF and PI Vision. Best practices and lessons learned will be discussed.
