YPF iUp - Intelligent Upstream
iUp is a system that gives engineers the tools they need to see how oil wells are performing and prevent failures by using analysis tools and predictive algorithms. The system consists of a SCADA system based on iFix that takes advantage of PI AF to convert its database into object oriented, and a web application that uses the PI Web API to retrieve information from PI AF and a series of SQL Stored Procedures that use the PI OLEDB Enterprise driver to collect data, aggregate and return to PI AF. From iUp SCADA operators can control and configure remote equipment and from iUp Web engineers can optimize production and reduce failures.
