Gasmed: Natural gas measurement intelligence at YPF
Gasmed is a supervision system for the Gas & Energy department of YPF S.A. It measures natural gas flowing across main gas pipelines all over the country. There are measurement stations distributed through the pipelines whenever there is a connection between two pipelines or any processing plant. These measurement stations contain meters for acquiring data from the gas pipelines. Main measurements are: gas flow, pressure, temperature and gas composition. This data is acquired by nodes located at strategic locations. These nodes send data to a central Data Archive server located at the company's main headquarters.
