PETRONAS has been using AVEVA software technology across the entire Business units and PETRONAS has been building complex industrial solutions and IP around the AVEVA software by merging the technology from AVEVA with PETRONAS Domain expertise. Below are some of the solutions that PETRONAS and AVEVA leverage each other strength:- PETRONAS has been using AVEVA PI system for operation data platform to build solution like PROTEAN for Condition Based Monitoring of their critical assets through a centralized remote monitoring center. PETRONAS then integrated AVEVA AI infused Predictive Analytics to further enrich the quality of the alerts and provide more accurate results and lead time to failure. The combination of PI+ PROTEAN+PRISM has helped PETRONAS to reduce unplanned downtime across all their operations. PETRONAS has also built custom solution on PI like QUASAR for Energy Management Monitoring system. PETRONAS leveraged AVEVA Engineering data platform (AIM-A) to build Upstream Surface Data Platform to include PETRONAS and link all engineering data, maintenance data and operation data in business context to build a true digital twin representation of their plants. PETRONAS leverages AVEVA Unified Operation Centre software to build few solutions like Enterprise Optimization Centre, PETRONAS Project Command Centre, PETRONAS Remote Operation Integrated Diagnostic Centre and PETRONAS Technical Excellence Centre. All these solutions are bringing value to provide single source of truth to bring all OT, ET and IT data into single visualization in context to support making precise decision in value optimization, operation and maintenance. PETRONAS is now able to leverage on this partnership with Aveva and provide managed services-based offerings to customers. This sets the foundation for a new commercialization business for PETRONAS while delivering value to customers in Energy industry by combining the best-in-class technology from Aveva and the strong domain

Annaliz Abu Bakar holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. She joined PETRONAS in 1991 and since April 2022 is the Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Global Technical Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (PGTSSB). She led her technical and engineering team for the record-breaking year on year performance. She has elevated Clients' and partners confidence and trust on PGTSSB as their long term preferred solutions providers. Prior to this appointment, she was the Head of PETRONAS Group Technical Capability Management and Head of RESCISCO Implementation Phase Project for PETRONAS, as on June 2020 and August 2018 respectively. Prior to the above assignment, she was seconded to Prince Court Medical Centre, a Malaysian Premier Hospital and the world’s 10 best hospitals for Medical Tourism, to help to turnaround and complete the hospital’s business transformation exercise. During her secondment, Prince Court Medical Centre had become profitable for the 1st time after 10 years of establishment and also secured the top prize award such as of Ministry of Human Resource Award under PSTM’s Major Services Company category in 2017. She had been a Turnaround Managers for a numbers of Clients turnarounds between 1995 and 2006. She is now the CEO of PGTSSB, the commercial arm of PETRONAS Project Delivery & Technology responsible to design, deliver and execute Project Management, Engineering Services and Solution including Digital Engineering for Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals, Energy and adjacencies industry and companies. Her nick name is “Energizer Bunny”. She’s a Gemini personality that is on the move, charming, persuasive, and multi-skills. She is also creative, energetic and an optimist. Her strength is the ability to orchestrate, turnaround and drive an organization’s dream or best hopes to a reality, moved with a good speed and sustainable momentum. Her positive outlook is the source of her resilience and innovativeness amidst challenging circumstances. Her humble rapport, resourcefulness and concerns for others i.e., to the team, stakeholders and clients/customers, is also the source of successful co-creations and collaborations.
