Bausch + Ströbel: Condition Monitoring as a Service
In the fast-evolving pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape, the need for efficient and reliable condition monitoring solutions has never been more critical. This presentation will introduce a groundbreaking collaboration between Bausch+Ströbel, a leading machine constructor specializing in pharmaceutical filling machines, and BK Vibro, an expert in condition monitoring with vibration data. Together, we are developing an innovative solution for Condition Monitoring as a Service, leveraging the strengths of both companies, the PI system and the AVEVA Connect platform. Our joint solution integrates BK Vibro's state-of-the-art vibration sensors and the IoT gateway OMNIA Connect to streamline data to the PI System. Contextualized data will be transferred to AVEVA Connect to incorporate the Advanced Analytics Module for anomaly detection. This seamless integration allows for advanced condition monitoring, real-time data analysis, and predictive maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and reduced downtime for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. A key feature of our solution is its ease of integration and retrofittability, making it suitable for existing machines without requiring changes to qualified machines or PLCs. By using BK Vibro's sensors, our solution provides comprehensive condition monitoring capabilities that enhance the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and reliability of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
