Omar Ali
Dr. Omar F. Ali is the Global Industry Principal for Pulp, Paper and Forest Products (PPFP) at AVEVA. Omar graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with BEng, MEng and Ph.D degrees all in Chemical Engineering. He has over 40 years’ experience in the PPFP industry which includes many years of manufacturing, operational, research and developmental experiences. Omar’s focus and passion at AVEVA is to continue driving digital transformation in the PPFP industry utilizing AVEVA’s product solution portfolio.

Jim Gavigan
Jim Gavigan is the President and Chief Time-Series Data Storyteller. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Memphis. Starting his career in 1995 as a vibration analyst, Jim has held various roles, including controls engineer, engineering manager, and sales engineer at Rockwell Automation. In 2008, he joined Logical Systems, LLC as a Business Development Manager, where he discovered the power of data working with the PI System. In 2013, Jim became an Account Manager at OSIsoft, quickly promoted to Strategic Account Manager. He returned to LSI in 2015 to start its Manufacturing Intelligence Practice before founding Industrial Insight in December 2016. Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and playing golf.
