Lesaffre's Four-Year Journey Towards Digital Transformation with AVEVA PI System

Lesaffre embarked on a four-year digital transformation, deploying AVEVA PI System across 30 sites globally. The key challenge was the diversity of its sites and a culture of non-standardization. This ambitious project aims to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability through innovative tools, a standardized AF model, real-time deviation monitoring, and robust change management programs. The initial results are promising: improvements in data quality, industrial performance, and environmental impact are already visible.

I'm leading the deployment of the Pi Aveva solution across more than 30 industrial sites worldwide, laying the foundation for Lesaffre's industrial digital transformation. With a background in GEII Engineering, I pursued a professional path focused on data and digital transformation. Today, I have over 12 years of experience as a data project manager. As part of Lesaffre's digital transformation efforts, I work closely with François and our Operational and Process teams, focusing on the deployment of Pi Aveva and supporting industrial sites in successfully adopting this innovative digital solution.

I lead the digital manufacturing operations, with a focus on data, connectivity, and the human factors that make technology actually land on the shop floor. My work sits at the intersection of OT/IT convergence, real-time process intelligence, and organizational change. I believe technology is not a support function. It is the new way to conceive and execute operations. I also practice what I call Applied AI, or A²I: using AI not as a demo layer, but as a daily cognitive tool, embedded in workflows, decisions, and team dynamics. From agentic orchestration to natural language interfaces on industrial data, I try new things and explore what it means to augment operators and engineers, not replace them.
