The Academic Competition
Are you a chemical engineering student? If so, AVEVA wants to invest in your future. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the next-generation software platform AVEVA Process Simulation, giving you the chance to put theory into practice. Our goal is to help students become proficient chemical engineers with technical expertise in their field.
The annual AVEVA Academic Competition plays a significant role in broadening the horizons of future engineers. We want to encourage sustainable and inclusive growth and development for the industrial decision-makers of tomorrow. The competition aims to introduce students to new paradigms in process engineering, delivering the process digital twin through a seamless design. With a modern software architecture and open model writing, AVEVA Process Simulation can switch between steady state, rating, and dynamic modes.
In 2021, 46 teams and 32 individual students from 20 universities in North America entered the AVEVA Academic Competition. In Europe, 53 teams and 59 individual students from 33 universities participated.
AVEVA is excited to announce that in 2023/24, the competition will be further expanded to cover LATAM and APAC regions in subsequent waves.
What you will be doing
This student competition will utilize the Process and Dynamic modes of the simulator in different parts of the problem. The problem will be a progression from a steady state process design to a pressure-driven dynamic simulation with some optimization, analysis, and control.
What we are offering
