PJM Interconnection coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or parts of 13 states and the District of Columbia. It needed a way to display the status and location of power lines along with weather data in real time.
AVEVA™ PI System™ lets PJM integrate data from Esri ArcGIS with data from the grid to display the status of power lines on a map with weather radar—all in real time. This data visualization improves the situational awareness of dispatchers and keeps the grid more reliable.

Goals
